Many groups and individuals across the Keweenaw have been incredibly supportive of this project. We are enormously thankful for all of the people who have encouraged us and thoughtfully engaged with us along the way.
We couldn’t do this work with out the support of the National Endowment for the Arts.
The National Parks of Lake Superior Foundation helped expand our interaction with the parks, allowing use to gather more content and share the display to more locations around Lake Superior. We continue to work with NPLSF to expand the opportunities to see our installations.
The Keweenaw Land Trust has been exceptionally generous in their support of the Keweenaw Soundscape Project. Hosting events, providing locations and support for recording, and Evan McDonald has provided expert advice on the important natural features and history of the area to help guid our work.
The Wolves & Moose of Isle Royale is a long term project that has provided significant inspiration. The scientists involved in the project and the artists and philosophers they partner with add a wonderful richness to the Keweenaw.
Essential to the beauty of the region and our explorations of soundscapes are the local national parks: Isle Royale, Keweenaw National Historic Park, Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, and Painted Rocks National Lakeshore.
The Keweenaw Adventure Company have been helpful partners in properly equipping our expeditions.
